Former Newcastle United manager Sam Allardyce insists he has no bitterness towards the club despite only being in charge for 24 games.
Allardyce left the club by 'mutual agreement' on Wednesday as he became the seventh manager to leave St James' Park in the last 11 years.
"A decision has been made and I've got to move on with my life. Once people make a decision there is nothing you can do about it," said Allardyce.
"There is no point being bitter and twisted about it because that will only affect you. It won't affect the people that you have left."
Allardyce added that he will now take a break from the game to "recharge the batteries" but vowed to "come back and move on with my football career".
Although the 53-year-old had come in for criticism from Newcastle fans and parts of the media for the club's poor season so far, he was given the backing of chairman Chris Mort only last month.
Allardyce, however, refused to speculate as to why he was let go despite being supported by Mort.
The former Bolton Wanderers boss said he was now concentrating on getting back into the game and wanted to manage in the Premier League again.
Geordie legend Alan Shearer, Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp, and Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes, are the bookies' favourites to replace Allardyce on Tyneside.
