Arsenal salvaged a point against a valiant Middlesborough with a late strike from Kolo Toure.
Arsenal made a lively start to the game but their defence was caught napping when Mark Schwarzer picked out Tuncay with a terrific long ball, who then knocked the ball across the six-yard box to allow ex-Gunner Jeremie Aliadiere to put the visitors in front.
The Gunners were getting increasingly frustrated for the remainder of the first half but could not beat the Middlesborough defence.
Arsenal came out fighting after the break when Arsene Wenger brought on Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner to reinvigorate the attack but to no avail.
An equaliser was on the cards from Cesc Fabregas but for a brilliant block from Schwarzer.
Arsenal's prayers were answered in the dying minutes of the game when a corner from Fabregas was headed in by Toure.
Minutes after, Middlesborough striker Mido, brought on as a substitute, was shown the red card by referee Mark Halsey after a high tackle on Arsenal's Clichy.
Clichy was stretchered off with a bloodied head injury.
The draw at Highbury gives Man United the top spot in the Premier League, on goal difference, following a win at Derby this afternoon.
