Robinho has insisted he will not be used as bait in Real Madrid's bid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
Madrid were hoping to use winger Robinho in the deal to bring Ronaldo from Manchester United, because he is a direct replacement.
The Spanish champions have yet to launch an official bid for the Portuguese star, despite him revealing last month he wants to join Madrid.
United are refusing to sell Ronaldo with Madrid's other option being to test their resolve with a world record offer.
Brazilian Robinho said he wants to stay at the Bernabeu for the time being.
"I hope to remain at Real Madrid this year," the 24-year-old told AS newspaper.
"Now I am only thinking about Madrid. I am not prepared to enter into the operation to sign Cristiano."
Robinho has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea since Luiz Felipe Scolari become Blues manager.
Scolari worked with Robinho before the 2002 World Cup and the Blues were considering a £30 million bid according to reports on Wednesday.
The Brazil international has scored 25 goals in 101 games for the Spanish giants since joining from Santos in 2005.
