Chelsea captain John Terry has said he cannot wait to lead his team out in the Champions League final against Manchester United tonight.
The former England skipper says the showpiece in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium represents the biggest game of his career.
And Terry commented that the team's failure to reach the final in previous seasons, when they have twice been knocked out in the semi-finals, had made them more determined to take their chance against the Red Devils.
"We have come close and the disappointments have been tough to take over the years," he explained.
"The atmosphere that surrounds this game is like no other I've experienced - it's the biggest game I've been involved in throughout my career to date.
"We've got a fully fit team and we believe we can do it."
Vice-captain Frank Lampard, who starred for his side in the last-four victory over Liverpool despite enduring the death of his mother just days earlier, echoed Terry's sentiments, saying just to play in the match would be "like a dream".
"Every year that we've missed out has made us more hungry," he said.
"If I could be on the pitch that would top anything I did in the semi-final."
