Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he will make a decision on his future in the next few days.
Real Madrid are set to launch a world record £70 million bid for Ronaldo, according to reports.
United are furious with the Spanish champions for trying to unsettle the Portuguese winger, and are threatening to report them to Fifa.
Ronaldo, who scored 42 goals last season, had been expected to wait until the end of Euro 2008 before making an announcement on whether he will quit Old Trafford.
But the midfielder told Portuguese newspaper A Bola: "Let's see, I hope there will be news soon.
"In two to three days I will announce my decision."
If Ronaldo decides to end his five-year stay at United, he will have a tough task completing the move to the Bernabeu.
Sir Alex Ferguson revealed today that the Glazer family, who own the club, would rather see Ronaldo rot in the reserves than sell him.
Ronaldo signed a five-year contract with the Premier League champions in April 2007.
The ex-Sporting Lisbon winger, who played in Portugal's 2-0 win over Georgia last night, is expected to start in their Euro 2008 opener against Turkey next Saturday in Geneva.
