Wolves striker Andy Keogh rescued a point for the Republic of Ireland under-21s in their 1-1 draw with Montenegro at Terryland Park.
The youngster, who has an impressive record at this level, notched in the 73rd minute after the Montenegro side had taken the lead in the 68th minute through Mijusko Bojovic.
Keogh capped off a fine week with his goal for the under-21s, after scoring three goals in the last week for club side Wolves.
Failure to clinch victory at Terryland Park means that Republic of Ireland have not won a game at home during this European Under-21 Championships qualifying campaign and will be looking to salvage some pride in their final two games away to Portugal and Bulgaria in September.
Also in action were the Italian under-21s, who secured a 2-0 win away in Azerbaijan thanks to a double from former Manchester United striker Guiseppe Rossi.
Rossi, who now plays for Villarreal in Spain, finished emphatically in the 18th minute before slotting home a penalty midway through the second half to secure the victory.
Germany U21s also enjoyed a comfortable victory, beating international whipping boys Luxembourg 6-0 at home.
