Nicolas Anelka has rubbished reports he will quit Chelsea despite admitting he is frustrated with a lack of first-team football.

Anelka has scored just two goals in 24 appearances for the Blues since his £15 million move from Bolton Wanderers.

The 29-year-old, today named in France's provisional Euro 2008 squad, has found himself out on the left wing in some games for Chelsea.

Anelka, who joined the Premier League runners-up in January, said he will stay despite being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world so there's no point moving again because we contest the Champions League and Premier League title," Anelka told the News of the World.

"I have moved too many times. Even if I am on the bench, I am glad to be here. I am still new to the club. I try to do my best when the manager asks."

"I really hope I start more games next season. I hope I will play in my best position.

"When I play in my best position, I will produce my best but when I play on the right or on the left it's difficult because I have never played in these positions before."

Anelka is expected to start on the bench in the Champions League final against Manchester United in Moscow on Wednesday.

The striker has played for nine clubs in his controversial career, including spells at Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City.
