Police claim a gang of six broke into the Eastlands stadium
Three youths have been released on bail after being arrested in connection with a break-in at Manchester City's Eastlands stadium.

Greater Manchester police said that a group of up to six youths forced their way into the stadium on Rowsley Street at around 21:50 GMT on Monday.

A number of bottles of spirits were then stolen from one of the public bars in the stadium.

The gang was disturbed by security staff who contacted the police while chasing the group out of the stadium.

The youths split into two groups upon leaving Eastlands, with three of the boys then being caught by police.

As a result a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on bail until March 28th.

Police are appealing to anyone with any information relating to the incident to contact them on 0161 856 3503 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.End of story
