Wales have completed a famous 3-0 win over Norway in their international friendly at the Millennium Stadium.
Jason Koumas scored twice and Carl Fletcher grabbed the other goal for John Toshack's men who claimed one of their best wins under his stewardship.
Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Freddy Eastwood played in Fletcher after just 15 minutes and the midfielder slotted the ball home.
Koumas doubled their lead on the hour mark with a fine finish from the edge of the box and then added his second late in the game following a through-ball from David Edwards.
Elsewhere Northern Ireland could not build on their strong performance during their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign as Bulgaria won 1-0 at Windsor Park.
The winning goal came midway through the first half when Manchester City midfielder Martin Petrov struck a shot that deflected off Jonny Evans and wrong-footed Maik Taylor.
David Healy had the home side's best chance to score in the second half but his shot was well saved. Bulgaria's win ends Northern Ireland's six-game unbeaten run at home.
In the night's other friendly matches there were wins for Spain, Italy. Germany beat local rivals Austria 3-0 while Holland provided a surprise result by beating Croatia 3-0.
Despite being without many of their star players Holland claimed a 2-0 lead at the break following goals by Johnny Heitinga and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The rout was completed in the final minute when Celtic's Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink scored the third against Slaven Bilic's side who had few answers for Holland's decisive attack.
Spain beat France thanks to a late strike by Joan Capdevila, though Liverpool will be concerned that striker Fernando Torres was injured during the game.
Goals from Luca Toni, Andrea Pirlo and Quagliarella helped Italy beat Portugal 3-1, the away side could only manage a late consolation effort from Ricardo Quaresma.
