Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek has been offered a contract by Real Madrid.
The Polish shot-stopper has been contacted by the Spanish giants who are keen on a back-up for Iker Casillas.
Madrid are keen on clinching the deal for the 34-year-old on a free transfer next week.
Dudek was told by boss Rafael Benitez he has no future at the club after spending six years at Anfield.
The goalkeeper said he had received an offer from a huge European club.
"After today's press speculation, I must admit that I have received an offer from one of the greatest clubs in the world, if not the greatest one," Dudek said.
"I was able to keep it in the dark for a long time, because the first contact was established a dozen or so days ago.
"The offer is an honour for me. I am seriously considering it now. As for now, I can say that a few details have already been agreed upon."
Dudek became a hero after his display in the Reds' Champions League triumph over AC Milan in 2005.
But he lost his place to Jose Reina three months later and Benitez is keen on a younger number two keeper.
Dudek made just six appearances last season and was set for another frustrating campaign on the sidelines as Scott Carson has returned from his loan spell at Charlton.
