Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is "torn" over a move to Inter Milan, the club's president has said.
Massimo Moratti said the 30-year-old had still not decided whether to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge or move to the Serie A champions.
"Lampard is a very serious lad and certainly he is torn between having the pleasure of something new or having a sense of duty towards his current club.
"In the end it is up to him to find a solution," Moratti explained.
Inter manager Jose Mourinho has publicly made Lampard his top transfer target this summer, but Lampard is agonising over a four-year contract offer from the Blues.
The England midfielder is reportedly seeking a five-year deal.
Moratti added that if Lampard was to remain in west London the Nerazzurri had a list of other targets already drawn up.
"If it is not possible to take Lampard, we would take a player with the most similar characteristics," he explained.
