Arjen Robben's father has claimed his son will sign a new deal with Chelsea and has dismissed claims of any dealings with Real Madrid.
Hans Robben, who also acts at the player's agent, told the Evening Standard that no talks had taken place with Real Madrid and that his son was on the verge of signing a new five-year contract with Chelsea.
Real president Ramon Calderon had previously said he had been in early talks with Chelsea about bringing the Dutch player to Madrid.
Calderon claimed last week: "Bringing Robben was one of my pledges when I was running for president and still remains the case."
However Hans Robben has rubbished the idea of such talks.
"I never met him or anyone from Madrid and did not speak to them," he said.
"We're nearly finished negotiating with Chelsea. Arjen will stay another five years with the club."
This is not the first occasion that Robben, 23, has been involved in speculation about moving to Real Madrid. Last summer, Chelsea threatened a Fifa investigation into what they suspected may have been an illegal approach by the Spanish club for the player.
Robben joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in 2004 but missed the majority of last season through injury.
