Jose Mourinho has said that he is "100 per cent" sure that Frank Lampard will play at Inter Milan within the year.
The Inter manager, however, said he did not expect the Chelsea midfielder to sign this summer as he had one year left on his Stanford Bridge contract.
"For the next season it will be easier for him to join me at Inter. I'm 100 per cent sure in 2009/2010 he will be playing here," Mourinho said.
"This season? I don't think so. Why won't he? Well, it's not because we don't want him to but I'm sure Chelsea officials and Chelsea and don't want to sell him."
Chelsea yesterday confirmed the signing of Barcelona midfielder Deco, a move which may hasten the departure of Lampard.
New Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari will take over next season and has already claimed that no player is guaranteed their place in the starting line-up.
