Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has revealed he one day wants to manage the club and that Roman Abramovich has already offered him a role.
The 41-year-old, who is currently assistant manger with the Italian under-21s, spent seven glorious years at Stamford Bridge before leaving for his hometown club Cagliari in 2003.
Zola is still a firm fans' favourite at Chelsea and with current manger Avram Grant under pressure, the diminutive Italian would be welcomed back to the club with open arms.
But Zola admitted that he still isn't ready to take such a huge job. He said: "One day I would like to be good enough to manage Chelsea. They are in my heart.
"Roman Abramovich has been good to me and asked me twice to go back and work, but what is the point if I'm not going to do something good?
"I want to go there when I know I can give something back. Roman and I didn't discuss jobs he just wanted me there.
"I have only been working for one year with the Italian Under 21 team as assistant manager. I can't say that yet I am good enough to be manager of one of the best teams in Europe," added Zola.
Zola also revealed that speaking to Abramovich, he has learnt the Russian billionaire not only wants to win trophies, but also wants entertaining football. Grant and his predecessor Jose Mourinho have both been accused of playing dull football.
