Sevilla full-back Daniel Alves has pleaded with the president of the Spanish club to listen to the offer made for him by Premiership giants Chelsea.
The Brazilian is keen to move to England to further his career but Sevilla have thus far resisted any attempts from the west London side to sign him.
Chelsea are believed to have made an offer in the region of £14 million but the Spanish club value the player closer to £20 million.
Alves said: "My agent has been in England for some time handling the offer made by Chelsea and that is really what interests me.
"This is a wonderful chance for my career and I want to take advantage of it. If they [Sevilla] respect me they will analyse the offer made by Chelsea."
Alves has been an integral part of the Sevilla side that has won the Uefa Cup for the past two seasons and the club even challenged Real Madrid and Barcelona for the Primera Liga title last year.
The 24-year-old continued to impress during his appearances in the Copa America this summer, convincing Jose Mourinho that he is the man Chelsea need to fill their problematic right-back position.
Paulo Ferreira has failed to make the position his own since his move from Porto, while Geremi, who played right-back for large parts of last season, has since moved on to Newcastle.
Alves said: "I am not looking to leave Sevilla in a bad way, but I have already said I want to play for a European giant and take advantage of what is going my way at the moment."
The Brazilian wants his move resolved before Sevilla's Champions League qualifier on August 15th so he does not become cup-tied for the competition.
