Jens Lehmann has declared he will return to the Arsenal line-up for next week's clash with Bolton.
The German goalkeeper has missed the Gunners' last nine games because of injury.
The 37-year-old returned to action in Germany's 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland last night which sealed his country's passage to Euro 2008.
Newspaper reports claimed Lehmann was axed after a host of blunders at the start of the season.
Manuel Almunia has impressed in Lehmann's place with the Spaniard keeping six clean sheets.
But Lehmann accused journalists who claim he was dropped because of poor displays of "losing their intelligence".
"Did you see me sitting on the bench once? I think some journalists are losing their intelligence about a couple of weeks," Lehmann told Sky Sports News.
"I have not spoken to [manager Arsene Wenger] but I expect him to play me again, yes.
"I think I will play hopefully next week because I am fit now. I was injured, it was the first time since I am at Arsenal and I expect the boss to play me."
Almunia has kept five clean sheets in his last six games to help the Gunners top the Premier League table.
The Gunners face struggling Bolton at the Emirates Stadium looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
