A woman has pleaded guilty to charges involving stalking and unlawful access to stored communications of the Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington.
Devon Townsend, 28, admitted to using US government computers to access the singer's email account and to check his voicemails on his mobile phone.
Investigators also told the court that Townsend allegedly phoned the frontman's wife and threatened her.
The former laboratory worker admitted: "On at least one occasion, knowing that Chester Bennington was in Arizona, I travelled to Arizona solely for the purpose of trying to see him.
"While I was there, I monitored Chester Bennington's voicemails as a means of trying to locate where he might be eating."
The details of Townsend's admission were contained in a plea agreement which outlined how she gained access to some of the singer's information.
Court documents also detailed how investigators found Linkin Park merchandise and pictures of Bennington when they searched Townsend's home in Albuquerque.
No date has yet been set for her sentencing.
Linkin Park are one of the most successful rock bands in the US and have sold in excess of 50 million records.
Bennington is the lead singer in the band and shares some vocal duties with his fallow band mate Mike Shinoda.
