Metallica, Kasabian and Pussycat Dolls have been added to the line-up for London's Live Earth concert.

They will be joined by Terra Naomi, completing the final roster of acts performing at Wembley Stadium on July 7th.

The full line-up now includes Beastie Boys, Bloc Party, Damien Rice, Duran Duran, Foo Fighters and Genesis.

Madonna, Keane, Razorlight, Snow Patrol and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will also be playing at the event.

Lars Ulrich from Metallica said: "I love my sons. I want them to 'inherit the earth' for real. We can keep waiting for future generations to solve the problems; to invent cleaner technology; to pay the costs… that's the same as passing the buck.

"I want the buck to stop here, now. I want lawmakers and laws to impose change. Nothing else will keep this world safe for my sons."

Live Earth will comprise of 24 hours of concerts beginning in Sydney and calling at Tokyo, Shanghai, Istanbul, Johannesburg, London, Hamburg, Rio de Janeiro and finally New York.

Kevin Wall, the founder and executive producer of Live Earth, said: "The amazing support for Live Earth just keeps on growing.

"The talent involved in the Live Earth shows around the world is phenomenal, and it is great to have such influential people involved in what is such an important cause."

Al Gore, the former vice president of the US and presenter of the documentary An Inconvenient Truth, has supported the concert series since its inception.
