American rapper MC Hammer is to star in a new reality TV show in the United States, cataloguing his daily life with his family.
Hammertime will centre on the 46-year-old businessman, who is now married with five children and also shares his California home with his two nephews.
The programme will be shown on cable channel A&E later this year.
MC Hammer, whose real name is Stanley Burrell, became famous in the early 1990s courtesy of his mega-hit U Can't Touch This and the follow-up single Pray, as well as for his trademark dance moves and baggy trousers.
But he has said he hopes the new show will help him to showcase a different side to his character, as well as giving his children a chance to become known among the public.
"I'm a 2010 dad," he said.
"I'm a real techy and I'm a geek, but I'm connected beyond any kid's wildest dreams when it comes down to the places they'd like to navigate on the internet."
On the desire of his children to be involved, Hammer added: "It's in their blood.
"They all have theatrical, musical talents. They love the idea of being on television from the standpoint of acting and performing."
