Reigh Storrow Boss and her father Clark Rockefeller
A seven-year-old girl has been 'abducted' by her father during a visit to the United States.
Reigh Storrow Boss lives in London with her mother and had been in Boston visiting her father Clark Rockefeller.
The 48-year-old is reported to have grabbed his daughter and taken her into a waiting car.
A social worker who had been accompanying seven-year-old Reigh attempted to hold on to the vehicle and was lightly injured in the incident.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Mr Rockefeller by Boston police on charges of custodial kidnapping and assault and battery.
Superintendent Bruce Holloway, of Boston police, said: "The manner in which the child was taken raises serious questions with us. It's unnerving."
Reigh moved to London with her mother Sandra Boss, 41, after her parents' marriage came to an end.
Ms Boss is a partner with leading management consulting firm McKinsey & Co.
