Britain's Lewis Hamilton is not fazed by the challenge of rain during this weekend's Monaco grand prix.
The 23-year-old's maiden win at the famous street circuit could be threatened as rain is forecast for Sunday's race day.
In sunny conditions, Hamilton hit back in practice this afternoon to post a fastest time of one minute 15.140 seconds, after World Championship leader Kimi Raikkonen had been fastest in yesterday's session.
After a battling podium finish in Turkey two weeks ago saw the Briton reduce his deficit behind the Ferrari driver to seven points in this year's title race, Hamilton is bullish about his chances.
"It will be especially difficult here in the wet, especially this year without traction control," he said.
"But despite that, I'm still looking forward to it. It's going to be a challenge.
"There is a long way to go, but I enjoy this so much and we will work hard to continue making progress," Hamilton added.
The McLaren driver was almost 0.4 seconds ahead of the pack in today's session, with Williams' Nico Rosberg second fastest.
Hamilton commented: "The car felt great almost immediately, and I was able to show a good pace from the very beginning."
