A jury in the trial of eight men accused of plotting attacks on UK aircraft has heard tapes of an alleged 'video suicide note' instruction.
The jury at Woolwich crown court heard taped conversations that the prosecution claims are between Umar Islam, 29, of Plaistow and Abdulla Ahmed Ali, 27, of Walthamstow, both in east London.
The conversations were taped using an undercover device placed at an address in east London that is alleged to have been used as a 'bomb factory' two years ago.
In the discussions between the two men, one is heard telling the other to "give a bit of aggression" when presenting his speech to the camera. They also discuss martyrdom.
In addition to Mr Islam and Mr Ali, the defendants on trial are Assad Sarwar, 24, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire; Mohammed Gulzar, 26, of Barking, east London; Ibrahim Savant, 27, of Stoke Newington, north London; Tanvir Hussain, 27, of Leyton, east London; and Waheed Zaman, 23, and Arafat Waheed Khan, 26, both of Walthamstow, east London.
It is alleged the men planned to make hydrogen peroxide liquid bombs using soft drinks bottles to detonate in midair on a number passenger aircraft flying out of Heathrow.
All eight men deny the charges of conspiracy to commit murder and endangering aeroplanes.
The trial continues.
