Spain's Sergio Garcia has beaten England's Oliver Wilson in a play-off to win the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai.
The European Ryder Cup team-mates were forced into playing two extra holes on Monday - which in itself was an extra day for the championship following rain delays throughout the weekend - with Garcia coming out on top.
The new world number two birdied the second extra hole to claim his second tournament victory in the last three weeks, after he also won the Castello Masters at the end of October.
Wilson had led by one shot going into the final round. But his two-under-par 70 on the last day was not enough to hold off the charging Garcia, who shot a superb four-under 68 to join the Englishman atop the standings.
In coming second, Wilson - who is still without a European Tour title - earned his fifth runner-up finish of 2008.
Australia's Geoff Ogilvy and Sweden's Soren Hansen tied for third, one shot behind the two leaders, while Hansen's countryman Henrik Stenson - who led after the first round - finished fifth two shots further back.
