British number one Andy Murray has slipped to 14th in the world tennis rankings following another week of inactivity.
The 20-year-old from Dunblane has not played competitively since May, when a wrist injury he sustained in the Hamburg Masters ruled him out of the French Open.
Following complications and a slower than expected recovery, the Scot was forced to announce his withdrawal from a second grand slam tournament Wimbledon last month.
Murray has still not played since May, meaning his total number of tournaments played over the last 12 months has now dropped to 19, affecting his overall points total.
Only top-ranked player Roger Federer, renowned for being highly selective about the competitions he enters, has played fewer tournaments among the world's top 20 with 17.
However this has not affected his world ranking, which he has now held for 175 consecutive weeks an ATP record.
The only change in the top ten sees Spain's Tommy Robredo move up from eighth to seventh at the expense of Wimbledon semi-finalist Richard Gasquet.
Russia' Mikhail Youzhny is the man to take advantage of Murray's drop down the rankings as he climbs one place to 13th.
British number two Tim Henman moves up one place to 69th in the world, thanks to the significant slumps of Spanish pair Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (80th) and Feliciano Lopez (84th), who fell 13 and 23 places respectively.
