The parents of four-year-old Madeleine McCann travelled to Morocco today to continue the search for their missing daughter.
Gerry and Kate McCann visited the country's interior minister and children's groups to find out what efforts are being made to trace their daughter if she has been taken across the Straits of Gibraltar after going missing on May 3rd.
They were also greeted by Moroccan children holding posters saying "All Moroccan children are with you Madeleine".
"If Moroccan children are anything to go by we have a very good chance of getting Madeleine back," Ms McCann said.
Although on a different continent, Morocco is only a half-hour ferry trip away from Spain and has been a common location for paedophiles to journey to.
Six days after Madeleine was apparently abducted from the Praia da Luz resort in Portugal's Algarve a tourist reported a potential sighting of a girl matching Madeleine's description at a Marrakesh petrol station.
The tourist overheard the little girl asking the man she was with when she could see her "mummy" again and the McCanns are seeking to ensure this lead is properly followed up by local police authorities.
Today's trip to Morocco is the latest in a series of visits to countries where the McCanns believe their daughter may have been taken to, however.
They revealed yesterday their plans to scale back on their public appearances, scheduling a time for grieving and reflection as they return to Praia da Luz.
"We will not give up, but there will be a different way of doing things," Mr McCann said yesterday.
