The 22-year-old edged McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso into second place during qualifying for tomorrow's Canadian grand prix.

Hamilton's fastest lap came in at one minute 15.707 seconds in Montreal, with Spaniard Alonso behind with one minute 16.163 seconds.
