Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra has told Spanish press his move to Real Madrid is yet to be finalised and that "anything could happen".
On Wednesday Pompey revealed they had accepted an "exceptional" offer for the Frenchman from Madrid, believed to be in the region of £20 million.
However, the 23-year-old says he is still receiving offers and that anything could happen, although he still favours a move to the Bernabeu.
Diarra told Spanish newspaper AS: "Football is complicated and anything could happen. I cannot talk [now]. I don't want to.
"They are calling me from England and France, but I will talk inside a few days."
Manchester City had also been linked with the midfielder and manager Mark Hughes said following the news of Real's bid that he still hoped to reach a deal for the player.
No deal can go through until January 1st when the transfer window reopens and Diarra says he must wait for his future to be decided.
He told Spanish daily Marca: "I cannot say anything, really. You have to respect me. I will talk inside a few days, now I cannot say anything.
"I cannot talk. I hope my future will be settled in the next few days, soon. This is the only thing I can say."
Diarra has not played for Pompey since November 15th due to an ankle injury but is close to a return to fitness.
