Emerging Springboks coach Dick Muir has said he expects the British and Irish Lions to make at least a couple of changes for the second Test against South Africa this weekend.
Speaking after watching his young side hold the tourists to a 13-13 draw in Cape Town, courtesy of a last-minute converted try, Muir - who is also the senior Springboks' backs coach - said he thinks Lions head coach Ian McGeechan will go with different personnel to the first Test when the sides clash again in Pretoria on Saturday.
"I imagine they'll make two or three changes but the Lions did play really well last week," he admitted.
"It would be unfair to make too many, but I think we'll see a couple."
Muir admitted the draw against the Lions, which was played in atrocious windy and wet conditions, "felt like a win" after wing Danwel Demas crossed in the corner to set up Willem de Waal's cool kick to slot the extras from the touchline.
"It was a real game of two halves in conditions more suited to the Lions than us," he added.
