World number four Andy Murray has been drawn in the same group as world number two Roger Federer for the season-ending ATP Masters Cup in Shanghai.
Murray, the third seed in the absence of world number one Rafael Nadal, is set to face Federer in one of three round-robin matches as he looks to qualify for the semi-finals as one of the top two players in the group.
Fifth seed Andy Roddick of the United States and Frenchman Gilles Simon - drafted into the number eight seeding because of Nadal's withdrawal - make up the red group.
In the other four-player section, known as the gold group, world number three Serbian Novak Djokovic is the top seed alongside Russia's Nikolay Davydenko, France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Argentinean Juan Martin del Potro.
When Murray faces Federer in his round-robin match, the Briton will be looking to gain revenge for the defeat he suffered to the Swiss in their last meeting - the US Open final at Flushing Meadows.
And American former world number one John McEnroe believes the 21-year-old Scot is the man to beat in China.
"When Andy Murray first came on the scene three or four years ago you heard people say that he could win majors, and he's putting all that together now," McEnroe said.
"What I love the most is how incredibly well he's moving. It's unbelievable. Most people can't move on the court like that and find the position and the angles that Andy's able to come up with.
"The way he's able to keep an opponent on his heels is really hard to do. He believes in the way he plays and he doesn't change his game plan - he mixes up his shots so well.
"He's got the hands and he can play up at the net as well and he's got a great brain and head for tennis."
