England defender John Terry has made it into Fifa's World Cup squad of the tournament.
The Chelsea skipper was the only player from Sven Goran Eriksson's team to be selected in the 23-man squad, which includes seven players from Italy and four players from fellow finalists France.
The all-star squad, chosen by Fifa's technical study group, contains four Premiership players with Terry chosen along with club teammates Michael Ballack and Ricardo Carvalho as well as Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
Brazil midfielder Ze Roberto was the only player chosen from the World Cup holders after a highly disappointing campaign which saw the South Americans crash out in the quarterfinals against France.
The notable omissions were Terry's defensive partner Rio Ferdinand, Brazil striker Ronaldo whose three goals broke the record for the World Cup's all-time leading goal scorer, and Lukas Podolski despite being crowned the Young Player of the tournament.
No players were present from Africa or Asia despite impressive performances from Ghana and Ivory Coast in their first-ever World Cup.
