Celtic Crusaders have completed their squad for their debut Super League season in 2009 with the signing of Papua New Guinea international Jason Chan.
The 24-year-old second row has agreed terms with the Welsh side after training with them during a three-week camp in Australia last month.
Last season Chan kicked 64 goals and scored 16 tries in 47 appearances for the Jim Beam Cup-winning Windsor Wolves - who are the rugby league feeder club for NRL side Penrith Panthers.
And he is being tipped as a potential star for the Crusaders in Europe's top league this year.
"Jason is a welcome addition to our squad," said head coach John Dixon.
"He had an outstanding World Cup and performed very well at our pre-season camp in Brisbane. He will add speed and power to our forward pack."
Chan will take the number 19 shirt for the Crusaders this term.
