Actor Jim Carrey has revealed doing his own stunts during the making of Yes Man resulted in three broken ribs.
The comedy, based on Danny Wallace's bestseller, sees Carrey as a bank worker whose attitude to life is transformed when he is convinced to say "yes" to every opportunity.
His experiences include bungee-jumping, full-body roller blading and pulling a wheelie on a Ducati motorbike and Carrey admitted he approached shooting with some trepidation.
"There were several things in this movie that involved making a reckoning," he told a London press conference.
"You'd show upon the set and think: 'OK, could die today.' 'What will I say to Jesus about those nights in Amsterdam?'" he joked.
Though no scenes cost the 46-year-old his life, he revealed a fall in a bar scene left him with three broken ribs.
"I was halfway through the pratfall, and I changed my plan," he explained.
"I've done pratfalls my whole career, but suddenly I decided it would be a good idea to try to get all four limbs up into the frame at the same time and came down very hard!"
Yes Man also stars Zooey Deschanel and Bradley Cooper and is released on Boxing Day.
