And speaking after visiting his brother in prison, Luka Karadzic confirmed the former Serb leader is appealing against his extradition to the Netherlands where he is set to be indicted at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
The Politika newspaper reports that an appeal had been filed shortly before the midnight deadline for the application. Karadzic's plea will now be forwarded to the war crimes court which will consider his appeal against his transfer.
