Andy Murray will prepare for Olympics with Toronto Masters
It has been confirmed that both Andy and Jamie Murray will represent Great Britain at the Olympics in Beijing next month.

British number one Andy will take part in the 64-man singles event, before teaming up with his brother in the 32-team doubles competition.

"I am delighted to welcome Andy and Jamie in to Team GB for their first Olympic Games," said BOA chef de mission Simon Clegg.

"Becoming an Olympian is a unique privilege and I am sure they will gain a huge amount from their Olympic experience.

"Team GB has enjoyed success in the tennis competition in the past, and with Andy and Jamie we have one of best chances of achieving in this event.

"I wish them both well in their final preparations for Beijing and look forward to welcoming them into the Olympic Village in just under a few weeks' time."

In preparation for Beijing, Andy will take part in the Toronto Masters which begins on Monday.

Murray has a bye in the first round, as the eighth seed, and will then play the winner of a match between two qualifiers.

The tournament also sees Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal return to action following their epic Wimbledon final.
