The number of people diagnosed with swine flu in the UK has now reached 87, the Health Protection Agency has announced.
Two new adult cases were confirmed in England today, one in the Reading area and one from the east of the country.
Today's update follows a series of announcement from the government in relation to the H1N1 virus.
Yesterday, the Foreign Office changed its recommendations on travel to Mexico, where the virus is thought to have originated, and health secretary Alan Johnson confirmed a deal had been signed to secure up to 90 million doses of a new vaccine by the end of the year.
There are said to be 172 other possible cases of swine flu currently under investigation in the UK, as health officials continue to warn against complacency.
Around the world, 66 people have been confirmed as dying of the virus with another 7,500 plus cases diagnosed.
