The Royal family is to pay tribute to soldiers who lost their lives in service of their country at remembrance events this weekend.
Britain will mark Armistice Day on November 11th which falls this Sunday. The day which commemorates the 89th anniversary of the end of the first world war is held to remember all those who passed away in battle in conflicts since the great war such as the second world war, the Falklands and Gulf wars as well as conflicts in Bosnia, Rwanda and Kosovo.
A two-minute silence will be observed on the 11th minute of the 11th hour on Sunday in memory of those who died in battle.
Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh will be in attendance at the annual Royal Festival Hall at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington. The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex will also be present at the ceremony.
Prince Charles and wife Camilla will also participate in events to pay tribute to those involved in the country's defence in armed conflict.
They will accompany over a hundred war widows at a service in Whitehall and will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in Westminster to mark the occasion.
