Full-back Rory Lamont has been voted Scotland's player of the year after a poll of rugby journalists.
The 25-year-old succeeds older brother Sean, who plays on the wing for the international side, after he received the award last season for his performances in a Scotland shirt.
The younger Lamont, who joined Guinness Premiership side Sale Sharks over the summer and scored on his debut last weekend, pipped two former Glasgow Warriors team-mates to the prize.
Fly-half Dan Parks, who was recently selected as Scotland's player of the 2007 World Cup, and consistent centre Andrew Henderson were second and third in the voting.
"I'm delighted to accept this award and I suppose you could say it's nice to keep the silverware in the family," said Lamont, who scored four tries in his seven appearances this year.
Both Lamont brothers had poor games in the recent Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Argentina, which Scotland lost 19-13.
However this game was something of an anomaly for both men, who each played a major part in qualifying from a group that featured favourites New Zealand and Six Nations rivals Italy.
Tara Kildare, Famous Grouse sponsorship manager, said: "The Famous Grouse is proud to reward such an exciting and talented player as Rory.
"He is a deserving and popular winner who typifies the spirit of Scottish rugby."
