Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri has been sacked by Italian side Juventus following their poor run of form.
The 57-year-old, who was appointed in 2007, guided the club to third place in Serie A in his first season but has endured a more inconsistent year in 2008/09.
Yesterday Juve played out a 2-2 draw at home to midtable Atalanta to extend their winless run to seven games, leaving them in third place in the table but 13 points behind champions Inter Milan.
With two matches left the Stadio delle Alpi side are virtually guaranteed Champions League football next season, sitting six points clear of fifth place.
However, the club's owners have taken away their backing for Ranieri, choosing to hand the reins to youth team coach and former Italy international defender Ciro Ferrara.
