The pre-trial hearing for the three people accused of murdering British student Meredith Kercher has been adjourned due to the absence of a police expert.
Amanda Knox, 21, her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 24, and Herman Guede, 21, are all charged with her murder but deny the charges.
Meredith, 21, from Coulsdon, south London, was found dead in November in a flat in Perugia, Italy, she shared with Ms Knox.
According to the Kercher family's lawyer Francesco Maresca, the hearing has been adjourned as the court could not hear the evidence of a police expert crime scene officer.
He added that hearings are due to resume next Saturday with Judge Paolo Michelli to decide "some time between October 11th and 19th" whether Knox and Sollecito will stand trial.
A fast-track trial for Mr Guede, 21, has begun behind closed doors amid concerns that his fellow accused may attempt to frame him for Ms Kercher's murder.
His trial will also continue next weekend, with a verdict expected by the end of October.
