A young girl is said to be have been among 11 Palestinians killed in overnight fighting in Gaza City.
The toddler was killed on Tuesday when security officers tried to arrest several members of a Gaza clan accused of killing a Hamas policeman.
Hamas said nine militants died in the ensuing gun battle, which spread from the Doghmush family home to the Sabra neighbourhood, as well as one of its own policemen.
The infighting is the worst to hit Gaza since the beginning of the summer.
Members of the Doghmush family, which has links to al-Qaida, are believed to have been responsible for the kidnap of BBC journalist
Alan Johnston last year.
