The Last Night of the Proms concluded last night with a series of shows at London's Royal Albert Hall and various open-air events across the UK.
Thousands of spectators attended events in Hyde Park in London, as well as Belfast City Hall, Glasgow Green in Scotland and Swansea's Singleton Park as the traditional summer season of classical music was brought to an end.
Spanish tenor Jose Carreras performed at Hyde Park along with Lesley Garrett, while Welsh Opera star Bryn Terfel sang at the Albert Hall.
The symphony orchestra inside the hall were conducted by Sir Roger Norrington, on his 40th anniversary of performing at the event. It was his first time conducting on the flagship final night.
The usual favourites were included among the pieces heard at the Last Night, including Rule, Britannia, Pomp and Circumstance, Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem.
The evening concluded with the traditional singing of the national anthem.
