Israel has partially renewed fuel deliveries to the Gaza Strip, after a week-long suspicion led to blackouts in Palestinian homes.
The country's defence minister Ehud Barak agreed to allow supplies reach the only power plant in the region on Tuesday.
Palestinian officials claim the plant shut down on Monday due top a lack of fuel, leaving Gaza' 1.5 million residents without power.
Israel blocked shipments for a week in response to rocket attacks by Palestinian fighters, who in turn said they are been responding to an Israeli raid that killed six people on November 4th.
"The fuel supply will be resumed completely when rocket fire from the Gaza Strip has ceased," Mr Barak said.
The United Nations (UN) previously described the fuel shortages in Gaza as "real and serious".
Unwra, the UN agency distributing aid to Palestinians, warned that it would have to suspend operations within 48 hours if supplies were not allowed into the territory.
