One killed three injured in helicopter collision in Iraq
A collision between two US military helicopters has claimed the life of an Iraqi soldier and wounded five others, according to the US military.
The incident took place at a US base near Ahmadiyah yesterday and involved two Black Hawk helicopters.
The US military said an Iraqi solder was killed in the incident while five others, three Iraqi troops and two US soldiers, had suffered injuries.
It added that an investigation was underway into the incident and said it did not think hostile fire from local militias had caused the fatal incident. No further details were released.
It comes two weeks after seven soldiers died when their CH-47 Chinook crashed in Iraq's Basra province.
