Iran has dismissed as "baseless" British allegations that Tehran has been aiding Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan.
"Iran has taken measures to actively fight against terrorism. Iran, itself, is a victim of this dangerous phenomenon," the Iranian Embassy said in a statement released to the media.
British troops on the Iran-Afghan border have reportedly uncovered material evidence that Tehran is aiding the Taliban in military operations against coalition forces.
Embassy officials in Kabul described the claims as being politically-motivated and challenged the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to provide evidence.
Tehran this week accused London of double standards after the Home Office removed the Iranian opposition group, Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO) from its list of terrorist organisations.
