A man accused of raping and murdering a British student is due to go on trial today.
Hannah Foster, 17, was attacked after a night out in Southampton in March 2003.
Maninder Pal Singh Kohli, 39, is charged with her murder as well as with kidnap and false imprisonment.
Police claim the teenager was abducted just half a mile from her home after leaving a friend on a bus and continuing the five minute walk home.
Hannah never retuned to her parents house and her body was found two days later in Allington Lane, West End, on March 16th 2003.
Mr Kohli was arrested in India in July 2004. He denies all the charges.
The trial is due to begin at Winchester crown court later.
