Private airplane crashes into crowd of people at German air show
A private airplane has crashed into a crowd of people at a German air show, killing one person and injuring at least ten others.
Sky News has reported that three of those hurt are believed to have suffered serious injuries, while the rest received minor injuries.
Reports claim that two of those injured are children aged nine and 14.
The crash took place at the Kindel air field, near Eisenach, south of Berlin. German television has claimed that the plane struck a children's carousel during the air show.
The pilot of the single-seater Z-37 plane is believed to be one of the injured.
An investigation has now been launched into the cause of the accident.
A local police spokeswoman said: "A small airplane taking off came off the runway and rolled into a group of people."
It is understood that the light aircraft has previously been used for crop dusting.
