Italian police have released a man being held in connection with the murder of UK student Meredith Kercher.
Congolese-born bar owner Diya 'Patrick' Lumumba was freed today after a fourth suspect in the case was arrested on an international warrant in Germany.
After leaving prison in Perugia the 38-year-old told reporters: "I am good.
"I thank God to be going home."
It is understood that Mr Lumumba has been released after police decided they had no evidence linking him to Ms Kercher's murder.
Earlier today German police arrested Rudy Hermann Guede, 20, in Mainz.
Detectives in Perugia yesterday issued an arrest warrant for Ivorian-born Mr Guede, a convicted drug dealer, after DNA evidence was discovered at Ms Kercher's flat.
The 21-year-old student was found dead in her Perugia home on November 2nd, with a post-mortem revealing her throat had been cut.
Police have suggested that Ms Kercher's murder was linked to a violent sex attack.
Two people remain in custody after being formally arrested in connection with her killing. A judge has already ruled they can be held without charge until next November.
Ms Kercher's American flatmate Amanda Knox, 20, and Ms Knox's boyfriend Raffaelle Sollecito, 24, both deny any involvement in the UK student's death.
A new forensic reconstruction of the murder scene at her Perugia flat has suggested that her throat was cut while she knelt in front of her bedroom wardrobe.
