Argentina were forced to work hard to overcome a resilient Georgia in their 33-3 victory in their Rugby World Cup pool D match in Lyon.
With six changes from the side that beat France last week, Argentina struggled to find any form of rhythm early on and went in at half-time only 6-3 ahead after some heroic defending by Georgia.
The Pumas salvation came in the form of right wing Lucas Borges who scored shortly after the interval and then again ten minutes later.
With Georgia tiring towards the end, Argentina crossed for two more tries with scores from Patricio Albacete and Federico Aramburu securing a bonus point.
For large periods of the first half the underdogs sustained continual bombardments on their own line, bravely defending every Argentina attack before taking a surprising early lead through a Merab Kvirikashvili penalty.
Argentina's possession and dominance counted for little, and two Felipe Contepomi penalties were all they had to show after the first half.
Borges' two tries finally gave the Pumas something to cheer about and after Albacete muscled his way over the line on 71 minutes, Georgia's fleeting chances of a shock victory were over.
And then with less than a minute left on the clock, flanker Aramburu went over to score Argentina's fourth try and secure the bonus point.
