A further six bodies have been recovered from the crash site of the Air France flight AF 477.
The flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, which was carrying 228 people at the time, went missing on June 1st, and 50 bodies have been recovered from the site of the crash in the Atlantic Ocean.
In comments cited by Bloomberg, Brazilian air force brigadier Ramon Borges Cardoso told a press conference that rescue crews faced many challenges from the weather, adding that there were days when no bodies could be found.
Speaking about the prospects for further bodies being uncovered, he said: "Technically, there are possibilities of recovering bodies up to 20 days after the accident. Of course, that depends on other variables."
A French submarine has joined the search for the plane's black box recorders and other wreckage from the Air France jet.
It is still unclear what caused the airliner's crash, although previous theories have raised the possibility of lightning striking the plane, the possibility of a bomb due to the presence of two wanted men on the plane and damage caused to the plane's body by its pilot flying too quickly.
