Salford coach Shaun McRae has urged the club to sort out the future of teenage sensation Richie Myler.
The 19-year-old scrum-half has shot to prominence after his breathtaking display for England against France last Saturday. Myler scored a record 30 points, which included a hat-trick of tries and six successful kicks at goal.
Myler is out of contract with Salford at the end of the season and though he has been offered a lucrative new deal, other Super League clubs like Warrington are thought to be interested in signing him.
McRae feels the uncertainty surrounding Myler's has affected his form and he was a peripheral figure in Salford's defeat to Hull yesterday.
"What we have to do is deal with it very quickly for the sake of us and Richard," said McRae.
"The thing is, it's not going to go away until Richard either says 'yes' or, in the worse-case scenario, he says 'thanks but no thanks' and then we have to respond.
"But it's not easy. He's been courted because he's a gifted player. He's a talent in the game we've all seen come along very quickly."
McRae added: "It doesn't surprise me he gets this attention and it doesn't surprise me the situation we're in. I think if I was in that situation as a young boy, I reckon I'd be losing some sleep. I don't think he's absolutely settled."
Myler only signed for Salford last season from Widnes and has been one of the star players for the Reds, scoring 12 tries in his debut season in Super League.
